What do they do?
Highbank Orchards in Kilkenny is run by Julie & Rod Calder-Potts whose family built the original Highbank Organic Farm back in the 19th Century. The fertile Kilkenny limestone soils are uniquely suited to produce delicious apples and apple juice organically. throughout the years Julie and Rod have become famous for their delicious juices, ciders and other apple products, not least their sumptuous Apple Syrup, "Irelands answer to maple syrup" a sweet and delicious, pouring, organic syrup, is the first of its kind. Totally organic, this unique, healthy product is made from Irish, organic apples from the orchard.
Why do we love them?
Julie and Rod aren't for sitting still, forever looking to expand their organic apple product range, recently adding new processing machinery and Ireland's first organic (and smallest!) spirit distillery "Highbank Still" - to assist them in the production of Ireland's first organic apple spirit, which is fabulous!
