Blackcurrant Balsamic Vinegar is another delicious, infused Balsamic vinegar from Burren Balsamics.
Burren Balsamics uses superior quality Balsamic Vinegar of Modena sourced from Italy and infuses it with 100% natural, Irish ingredients. Susie Hamilton Stubber and Bob McDonald of Armagh came up with the idea for Burren Balsamics over a cup of coffee in 2014. The original idea was to produce a range of infused balsamic vinegars to sell at farmers markets around Ireland.
Their vinegars were a hit and over time Susie and Bob expanded the range to include white balsamic vinegar as well. All their products are 100% natural and vegan friendly.
Blackcurrant Balsamic Vinegar takes the delicious, earthy, juicy blackcurrants and balances them with the sweetness of the Balsamic vinegar. Combine 1 part vinegar with 3 parts of your favourite oil (we love Broighter Gold) and shake with a bit of Dijon mustard (the mustard acts as an emulsifier to help bind the oil and vinegar) to create a super simple but incredibly delicious salad dressing.
Fancy trying something a bit different? Add a shot of vodka and a shot of Blackcurrant Balsamic Vinegar to a cocktail shaker full of ice and shake well to combine. Strain into a glass with a small handful of ice. Add soda water to fill the glass and finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon. Delicious!
